mower blades

As the garden tractor site does not get much traffic I will try here. Anybody know of a good place to buy mower blades for a 48" wheel Horse deck and I do not know a model number nothing on deck. I do not do ebay so that is out. Lacal that is Local and makes blades for bush hog type mowers acording to their web site does not make the small garden tractor blades. No dealer help either. Dealer I bought unit from last year told me it was about 12 years old, checking around this model was built from 1988 to 1990 so his 12 years was more like 25 years. Toro dealer knows nothing about this model 518-H tractor.

Sense you don't have a part number, about all you can do to be sure you get the right ones is to go to a mower shop and match them up. There are lots of generic aftermarket suppliers so matching them should be fairly easy.

Once you find the ones that fit, hold on to the part number, next time you can find them online, maybe for a better price. Trying to guess without seeing what you are getting is too risky, return fees and shipping will negate any savings.

Try AgriSupply.com. They have a lot of lawn mower blades and can probably match them . Measure the length and type and size center hole. Good luck.

try these gator blades, heres a link to a size chart from jacks small engines. i put them on my deere 245 gt and they really cut nice. they are a heavier blade with good lift and mulch great.
poke here

About as local as I know but should be sort of far north of you is Glens Surplus in Shelby Ohio. Take your old blade with you !!
They had some for Dad's old Toro push mower that is shaped like an S. I had to ask and gave him the sample he rummaged around in the back and came up with one. So they have even more in back than what is on display in the pretty large blade room.

So are they held on with a 1+1/8" nut or a 9/16 headed 3/8" bolt? Probably the 1 1/8" nut, OEM#106078 or 106637. Your Toro dealer just doesn't want to talk to you. If E bay is out can you do Agri Supply? I was looking at their on line catalog a couple months ago, wrote down some me #s for a blade kit for an 1988 deck I have, haven't bought any though. Was on page 6 of the blades, St# 41133, Toro-WH#91-806 16+1/16" $7.99 each/ 3 required. If their held on by the 3/8 bolt, it's an old deck, about $90.00 a set if you can find them.

I have purchased mower parts multiple times from partstree.com with good luck. Fast shipping and good pricing too.

Leroy, what Gab said on numbers.3/4 inch hole and 2" wide blade.Call Agri Supply at 1-800-345-0169 and they have a Help Desk to get you the right blade.

I can't remember which mower I needed blades for. I did find numbers stamped on old blade. I googled the numbers and to my surprise I found the blades on ebay and amazon. Not totally sure, but I think I ordered Oregon blades. There were other cheapies available too.

I have no idea where you are located, but "Glen's" ( also called the "Shelby Mall") in Ohio.(Shelby) will have them and much lower prices..

Not too far northwest of you. Auglaize county, just mile and half from Shelby county and 5 mile from Logan county. Is that Shelby you refer to a town?

Yes, just NW of Mansfield....!!

Almost a suburb of Mansfield..

If ya go, be sure to take your old blades, etc with you, so you can compare to be sure you have exactly what you want...they have SO MANY different ones all separately nicely sorted in Bins..
The reason to take your used one is they have SO many different ones...!! Low suction, Med Hi suction , Hi Suction..and then there are the LEFT-Handed ones also..!!

Take a pickup truck or a car with A Large trunk..they have a LOT of stuff to look at..!!

Hope ya find what ya need..

Usually there is a number stamped on the blade. Too bad E-bay isn't an option. I just bought 3 blades for my 5' Kubota and 3 for my 6' Landpride for $70.00 total with free shipping. They were here in 4 days.
