ms460 stihl

Had bad day in the woods, a white oak roled over my ms460 saw. The top handle is bent which tore the plasic along the bottom that is connected to the gas tank and back handle. Does any one know where I can order parts online for this saw? And where would I find a parts break down of this saw? Any help would be great.

Stihl frowns upon online parts sales and also the service books being published online. They want you to go to a dealer. Some of the plastic is aftermarketed for saws like the 460 but I am not sure where to point you.

Find out which "family" the MS460 is in. Like the MS290-310-390 +029-039 are all same family and most parts will interchange. On the 029-039-MS290-390 all Stihl does is change the bore and muffler. Knowing which family your saw is in gives you a wider choice of parts.

I can email you an IPL (illustrated parts list) for a 460 if you want. That way you get the part numbers you need together, as far as parts generally you will need to visit a brick and mortar dealer.

Just a "heads up" if you have a local John Deere dealer, give them a call. Most of these John Deere dealers are also Stihl dealers
