multi power transmission 24 speed

I have put together a multi power transmission 24 speed 2705 massey ferguseon. I can turn the output shaft but when I put the rear cover assembly on tighten the bolts I cannot turn the output shaft. Is that the way it should be? or am I assembling the parts wrong. Please email me or call me Lyle at 801-721-5968.

Sounds like you are binding the bearing, too much preload. Is it a Tapered bearing or radial? Any end play in the shaft without the cover? Maybe need to shim the cover/cap!

Actually the output section of the 24 speed muti-power has schuttle gears, . Make sure you are in the forward mode, shifter back (I think) There are other possiblties. Do you have the spacer blocks in the right positions.(6 of them) 3 are thicker than the other 3. You really should have a manual of some kind to veryfy that everything is in order
