multi spark troubleshooting

I just hooked a multispark box from summit racing up to my tractor. It will run for about ten seconds and it only sounds like it is running on 1 or 2 of the six cylinders.

Points, magnetic, hall effect or optical trigger? + or - ground? Coil primary coil ohms? Current through coil before & during missing? Are you using resistor plugs, resistor wires and a wide plug gap? The air inside the dist cap maybe getting ionized and conducting spark energy to any place inside.
