I have a 2015 Jeep Cheroke. It has 37,000 miles on the original Michelin tires., the tires are at the wear bar. I don't think the tires lasted like they should of. About time to change . Anyone have a good choice for tires they like, and wear well. Not tractor related, sorry. Stan

I run Copper AT3 on both of our good pickups. Had them on my 2003 F150 and got over 40,000 miles on them when I sold it. We drive a lot of gravel and still get good life out of them.

Maybe consider yourself lucky.
While I won’t recommend a set of replacements, I always remember the new ‘88 Cougar that I bought off the showroom floor. It had Firestone tires on it that lasted a grand total of 15,000 miles. This wasn’t a hot rod car and all miles were highway. Cheap replacements from Western Auto (or was it Pep Boys?) lasted much longer. That didn’t sit well with me.

I bought a new Nissan Frontier in August 2018 that came with Hankook tires. I replaced them at 60,000 miles.

I just got a set of the AT3 on my Tacoma. Love them. But prior to that I had my 1st of Coopers. They were the Mud terrain. They were worn out at 15,000 miles. Severe cupping. But Cooper was wonderful. The mud tire does not have a mileage warranty. Despite that they gave me a credit of 2/3 the purchase price. At this point I would clearly buy Cooper again.

I'm on my 4th set of Hancook tires on my F150. Get 55-60,000 miles per set.

Different "grades" of Michelin tires. Good ones do not last long while the best gives great milage and comes at a much higher price.
They put the cheapest tires that can be contracted on new cars and trucks. So nine years and 37,000 miles is really not that bad.

Michelin, Cooper, Hancock all make good tires. All three come in good, better and best grades. Any good tire shop should be willing to offer information on what they sell. . Firestone and Goodyear aren't what they use to be. Avoid Mastercraft at all cost. It should be written that they are guaranteed to start leaking around the rim within three months of installing them. I would put Douglas tires on a car before I would Mastercraft.

Thanks for mentioning Mastercraft as that what is on our 13 Tahoe, and so far so good, as we bought it used. I am running Douglas on my little pickup that I beat around with, BUT bought a used set of Douglas a few years ago from a tire shop, once one went the other three failed within a month. No kidding.

If'in I had a Jeep and need tires, I would buy a set of takeoffs with OEM tires and rims with a couple thousand miles on them.

Your are not far from San Diego and those Navy boys and girls are buying new Jeeps and then immediately changing to "makes me cool" bigger tires and aftermarket rims. The market is likely flooded with takeoffs in your area.

I had a set of Douglas tires once. They must have been magnetic. I picked up more nails with them than all the other tires I've had combined!

B.F. Goodrich KO2 tires did well for me. Expensive and noisy, but good traction. KO3 is the new version.

I was one of those, but not a Jeep. That said being in SD county many of those sailors actually wheel, we had a fairly large group and its still a thing, it's not just a look cool thing. And I am not saying it's not a thing, plenty of mall crawlers out there.

That said and too the thread. I always ran BFG AT's out there. BFG MTs in Washington, Ohio and here in VA. I am trying out Pro Comp MTs on the Jeep right now, so far two with about 15k miles on them.

Your situation is similar to mine in that you don't drive a lot of miles each year. I've replaced the tires on my 05 pickup twice because of age with lots of tread left. My thoughts are that I might as well get cheap tires from Walmart since I'm not going to wear them out anyway.

I drive very little I have to replace tires at about 50% tread ware because of age. I use to run Toyo till they go so exspensive... The #1 seller at my shop is Hankook Kinergy then HankooK Dynapro, #2 Kelly Edge then I may venture to Falkin Ziex. I am running Arroyo on my personal cars now. As far as trouble with tires its almost a thing of the past as I have not got a bad tire in years. Even then if I got a bad tire, it would be a 10-ply truck tire made in China that ate my lunch.

If I lived where you do and was your age, I would put the cheapest tire I could on it. I'm 71 in MI and I buy all my tires from ebay. As long as they are all season (wouldn't matter for you) and I like the tread pattern, I buy and mount myself. You've only put 37K on it in 9 years, does it really matter how long they last?
