I posted in July that I had a 1949 8N that I was going to be in the process of "restoring" which was a mis-use of
words. I wanted to get the tractor back to a running condition with as many of the original parts I had on hand.
The tractor has been setting for 10 plus years. Had buckets of parts all over the place and no clue where to start.
Thanks to this site/forum I was able to read and read, look at a lot of pictures and then just kind of pick a starting
spot and say go do the best you can.
First thing I did, since it had sat for so long, was to make sure engine was not seized up. I was able to turn the engine
over using something to place where you would crank the motor and it turned so that was good. Then I went through
a bucket of bolts and nuts, clean everything and started asking my self where do these go? Oh my gosh, spent
more time getting all that organized was something else for me. I know there a lot of you out there that can just
pick something up and tell what size of bolt it is and where it may possibly go.....not me..got the parts manual
and find where it goes...
I finally had a starting point..will let you know more in a couple of days..everything is going in the right direction
with some sit backs but that is OK.
