I recently bought a 41 9n from an auction. It has a front mount distributor 8n motor in it. Motor had no power. Smoked like heck. And no oil pressure. I just did a complete rebuild. New sleeves. Piston rings. Bearings. Valves. And even a new crank with fresh line bore. She starts right up and runs excellent now. I’m getting 25 to 30 psi oil pressure at idle and 40+ when reved up. I have one concern where I think I screwed up. When I installed the new oil pickup tube. I used a thin layer of black Permatex gasket sealer with the gasket. I’ve been reading post on here about the tight clearance on the faceplate to oil pump and now I’m concerned I may have issues later. Sorry for the long posting. Any thoughts?

I am not familiar with 8n. but if there is a way to adjust the oil pressure with an adjusting screw some where, the previous owner might have screwed it up trying to get pressure when the engine was wore out. I like to run pressure on the high side, but that is a little much.

There is no oil pressure adjustment screw on a 9N (or a 2N or 8N). But yes, as Rich stated already, this post would be better suited for the N forum, not the MM ;)
