My live hydraulics setup

I completed this about a month ago but haven't had time to upload the pictures. I want to say thanks to The Old Hokie for all the time he spent with me on the phone and email to figure this out.

The setup works very well, once I get my top cover adjusted right that is.

I have used it quite a bit with a box blade and shredder. When running the box blade, I just usually leave the internal pump off.

If anybody has any questions about how I did it or would like to see additional pictures of something specific, feel free to ask away.

Anyways, on to the pic and video:

Sooo.
Why didn't you make the red bracket longer?
It'll probably hold fine but if you were making it yourself, why not?
Also, is that why you built that heavy front bumper/brush guard for the tractor?
It looks good though.
The biggest lack on an N was the non live hydraulics.
Adding it to one is a big plus IMO.
You've probably seen that video from when they introduced the Jubilee - link below.
In it they talk about the "time taking, awkward and annoying gear shifting manipulations." and how the live hydraulics on the Jube dispenses with all that.

Minor miscalculation on the bracket length. But, it works. I built the brush guard to protect the pump and radiator from all the brush we have out here.

I've been using the box blade to rip out smaller trees and scrub brush. Back over them, drop the rippers and pull them out of the ground. Works like a champ. Draft control is perfect for that because the blade slowly rises, pulling the roots out of the ground.

I'm interested in that conversion, already have a loader with pump on my 8n, been wondering if there was a way I could connect it to the tractor hydraulics and run them both with the same pump.
My tractor seems to have had something on the hydraulics before as there is a pipe, with a ball valve and cap, connected to the pressure test port on the bottom corner of the pump cover.

The simple answer is YES. There are two basic requirements for that to work:

1) You have to use the tractor sump as the source of oil for the loader pump.
2) You have to limit the INBOUND flow to the test port to roughly 2 GPM.

Call or email me if you want additional details.

nice
Hey, miscalculations happen.
A couple of 'J' bolts will fix ya up.
I'd want all mounting holes filled on something that wants to turn.

UD's quote from the video gave me a chuckle, first time I watched it years ago, I laughed out loud at the same point.
Funny to hear a factory admit...uh...we screwed up before...here is the fix!
