.... and work they do!! I grew up with these things around... so I had to have a couple of them... had the 9n for about 4 yrs... took it away from my father this year... lol...(he doesn't take care of anything... lol).. just got the 8n last month....

... they both have their issues that I need to fix this winter... The 8n needs a service bad.... She mows strong... but has a little "blow-by"... she smokes a little from oil breather and exhaust... but still has decent oil pressure and good HP... Stearing bearing a little shot...
... The 9n just recently had most of the electrical system replaced.... but has gov issues... lol... Both need new Hyd fluid, as I see a "hot chocolate" color to the fluid... indicating water in it... The 9n lift sticks sometimes... and the generator gets real hot sometimes.... oh, and of course, the 9n needs brake work.... lol

... the water pump on the 8n whistles a little at low rpm.... but circulates well.... so that may need a little "reconnoitering"... lol neither boil over at all, which was my main concern hogging with them.... If I lose RPM, the 8n will let out a lil tuft of steam, but doesn't boil over at all... cooling systems work great....

... the 8n needs a little cosmetic work also... some sheet metal work on the front end.... the dude I got it from has wire holding the grill on... the clips are bent.... someone brush painted it... lol... runs all over the paint... but hey, at least it didn't rust... lol I have a brushguard that will fit either one of them... prepping to install... I use a MF-48 heavy duty hog...(weighs a ton, .. but will eat rocks..).. so may need to get weights for front end....
