NAA 12volt conversion

if you use a 12volt coil with builtin resistor do you still need the external resisror

I doubt you can find a comercially produced '12v' coil that actually incorporates a built in restive element, vs a true native '
12v' coil that simple has a primary of the correct resistance due to the number of turns of wire in the primary and of the proper gauge.

IE.. use a real native 12v coil and no resistor.

a napa IC14SB is a 16$ native 12v coil that needs no external resistor and certaintly does not contain any kind of extra restive element.

wmlowman,No external resistor is needed it it states it has a built in resister on a round can coil such as the NAPA IC14-SB.
