NAA front axle

Bought a Jubilee and it has hardware on front axle for what I assume is a snow plow mount.
These brackets are attached via the bolts that couple the axle "knees" to the axle.
I have tried to drive out the bolts with no success.
Is there a trick I need to know?
Are the bolts pressed in or a tapered interference fit?
Any help is appreciated.

Blaster.......its called RUST. Use some rust eater like Kroil (NOT 3-in-1 or WD-40) Just use a bigger BFH but don't button (expand) the threaded end or you will NEVER gitt it thru the axle holes 'cuz you just made a rivet. .......Dell

Ditto what Dell said.. penetrant oil, and you may need heat. propane or mapp torch will work.

i like to heat really stuck bolts.. then quench with penetrant oil.. couple cycles of that usually gets them.

In some cases, the bolts get bent or knecked and don't like to drive out straight.

If you heat and oil and beat on it and she won't go.. use a hand grinder or similar tool and cut the head and tail off flush at the axle and wing side.

Use a center punch and dimple the center of the bolt on each side.. then get you a good small hard drill bit and some cutting oil, and start drilling thru the center of it... start small and work your way up.. once you get the hole drilled out to 1/4, heat her again and then quench witth penetrant again.. the hole inthe center allows for more expansion / contraction and that's what you want.. movement to bust the rust. use an appropriate sized drift and try to drive er' out at that point.. if nothing.. then start enlarging the hole to 3/8 and try again..

eventually you will get the hole to the parent bore and be good to go.. or the sleave will drive out.

If you have a torch, carbon arc or plasma cutter., you can burn them out once you have that center hole.. piercing tip on a gas axe probably the easiest..
