NAA Hitch drawbar Assy

Can anyone tell me what I have here ? No parts houses show these exact ones. My 53-59 MPC only shows the clevis Assy and lists it as 8N-802-B or NCB-802-B. Mostly curious what the L/R side Brkts. are.

Twooaks, think those are under axle sway bar brackets? Look like it to me.

I want to guess. The piece laying on the box I think bolts to the bottom of the differential housing and an optional drawbar goes in the end towards the back with a special pin that you push up and turn to lock in. An even wilder guess, the right and left brackets may be to hold a PTO shield in place.

I believe that is correct. I have a few off 8Ns. Mostly replaced with an aftermarket swinging drawbar kit that doesn't rely on the 3 pt hitch.

The other two appear to be under axle brackets for sway bars.
They obviously do no line up to the bolt holes where they are mounted
and the bolts aren't tightened in to hold them in where they are.
I've not seen that style on an early Ford though. Maybe Ferguson?

The 2 brackets are part of the 2 way plow trip mechanism. A couple of long bars hook to them and fit into loops in the plow. When the
plow is raised and lowered it causes the plow to switch bottoms. Those plows are sometimes refered to as "grasshopper" plows in my
area. I have a plow and the brackets but I don't have the bars.

The two LH/RH brackets mounted by the PTO shaft are for and only used on the Dearborn 10-14 Two-Way Plow. They secure the two trip arm levers. If you don't have the plow and want to sell the brackets, I'll buy them -my email is open. The bottom part is the clevis bracket, an OEM part included on every new tractor beginning with the 8N Model. It used the Dearborn Swing Drawbar, NOT included with a new tractor. STABILIZER BARS use special brackets mounted on the axle bosses with the fender bolts.

It's great to find answers. The only thing those two side brkts did was hold the drawbar link chains. The belly brkt came without bar or pin. I'm looking for a complete swing D/B assy online. It would sure be nice to see a picture of the plow you mention hooked to those brackets. Anyway I can't figure your email so here is mine billnjoano at gmail dot com. Let talk.

I use Classic View. When you look at a post, in the lower RH side there are blue highlighted words "SEND EMAIL" and you need to click on that which will take you to a form to fill out and that will notify the person by email. When you make a post, you fill in your name/handle and subject but there is a middle text box for you to enter your email address. It is not recommended you put it in your message -too easy for someone to scam you. Next, your brackets as I said are for the 10-14 plow only. The brackets you need for the lift arm check chains are shown in my picture of the drawbar setup. The Dearborn Swinging Drawbar, and clevis bracket and pin are often found on fleabay but nnalert repops them new now. You also need the original 11-hole drawbar as shown too. Those can be bought new at any parts supplier -Steiners, here, nnalert. Note in my picture that the setup also utilizes the original STAY BARS which keep the setup set at a certain working height and won't bob up and down. When using STAY BARS you must lockout the LIFT CONTROL because you NEVER try to use it as it will damage a lot of things, hydraulic pump for one. There are new aftermarket swinging drawbar set ups sold today that use a different clevis, hanger rear bracket, and different drawbar. They do not interchange with the earlier Dearborn parts and Ford clevis. It is a better design in fit and function in my opinion. You can leave it connected at all times whereas with the Dearborn unit, you have to disassemble it all if you want to hitch something to the 3-pt. lift arms. For the money, I'd opt for the later swinging drawbar if not for this reason then for costs as it is cheaper than just the repopped Dearborn bar alone also sold there. My email is open again...

I have three Dearborn 10-14 Two-Way Plows. One is complete but not for sale, and I'd sell the other two but they do not come with the brackets, arms, or special eye-bolt adjusting wrench. There weren't that many built and occasionally they pop up on fleabay or ads forums. Often times they are missing the crucial parts needed. Now, there are CAD plans available on the NTC site to make your own.

They still don't look like they line up with the holes to me. Maybe its just the picture.
