I put the instrument panel & hood rear lower panel together and wanted to mount it to the steering Col.
OK, except for wondering how to center column in Instrument Pnl. hole.
The new grommet (only a rubber dust cover) just moves around on top of the instrument panel. But, I have this black rubber piece that's been nagging at my memory wondering where it goes. Maybe nowhere and when hood assembled to instrument panel one just centers the hole around the column and tighten everything down ?
Interesting that the Column hole is flared inside unlike the gauge holes. This black (grommet) fits the flare but there's nothing to hold it up against the bottom of the instrument panel.
Also on the fuel line (this one was temp before dismantling) I have a straight plated tube I plan on bending, but just wondering where exactly it locates rear of engine ?
