I use 80/90w oil in my Transmission and rear diffy. I use hydraulic oil 134 for the hydraulics. Capacities are as follows: Transmission: 5 Quarts, Check plug for tranmission is on driver's lower right side down by brake pedal. Fill opening is by the transmission shift lever. Diffy fill is under driver's seat left side. Level plug is also on left side on axle. Hydraulic fluid fill is under the driver's seat right side with the dip stick to check the level on the lower right side by the parking brake (pawl) lever. Check out the pictures I sent you to see the fill caps and check plugs. The first picture shows the level plug for the Diffy Fluid. The second picture shows the fill openings for the Diffy and Tranny. Note* the big hex nuts. The last picture shows the fill for the hydraulic fluid and dipstick to check the hydraulic fluid level.

leo got you taken care of.

many people use gear oil in the trans and diffy, and utf inthe hyds. many others use utf in all 3, especially if the diffy to hyds sump leaks at the pto shaft crossthru.

for that reason I do not reccomend using straight hyd fluid in the hyd spump.. but a UTF fluid instead. utf fluid mixing with the gfear oil will still protect the rear end.. plain hyd oil mixing with the gear oil might thin out the protective properties of the gear oil.

tsc and walmart and places like car quest generally have some good cheap gear oil and utf.. usually warren unilube products..

Thank you for the info, I was unshure of using hyd. oil for everything. I thought the rears would be 80W-90 and trans. I always use utf on all hyd. systems. Thanks again for the info and you have a real nice tractor there.

Thanks Sounder. Now That I think of it, I believe I have universal hydraulic fluid in my NAA. I just remember seeing an old gallon jug of 134 on the shelf of my shop the other day. It has never been opened. I know I bought universal hydraulic fluid when I did my last oil change.
Hope all is well with you. I'm still on the mend but getting there slowly but surely.

Where did you get the banjo fittings for the remote? could not find them anywhere. Tried Napa. Hydraulic store. Ended up bying some ORB fittings that look good, but would rather have banjo. Thanks, Dave

Hmmm.not sure what you mean by Banjo fittings. All the couplers and brackets came on the tractor when I bought it. However,..there is a local hydraulic shop that has everything I need to replace the parts if need be.

Them sqare fittings on top of the remote. Originaly There was hollow bolts on top through the square fittings with o-rings on bottom of the square fittings. Only thing anybody could tell me was< after seeing origanal, was brake lines that were like that. I did save them. Will send pics if want.

I got those square fittings at a hydraulic shop called "All Flow Hydraulics". The parts manager called them 90 degree swivel fittings. Obviously male threads on one end and female threads on the swivel end. Not sure if they are still in buisness,..been tough here in Michigan for small shops to stay afloat. I"ll check and see if they still exist.
