I have a tractor that looks to be an original jubilee but the serial# says its a 1954. Could the factory continued to put the medallion on into early '54? Have any of you on this forum run into this before?

- here are the years of production - I am sure that you knew that.

1953: NAA 1
1954: NAA 77475
Final: NAA 128965

two things could have happened, someone changed the engine.....or much simpler, changed the $50 hood decal. The two tractors are the same, except for the medallion. Maybe you can find the casting codes on the trumpets or housing and trace down the year the tractor was made. I have a 53, a late 53, serial #74xxx. The 54 NAA is actually a more rare tractor due to the fewer numbers.

is the serial number by the exhaust manifold or by the starter hump? it is possible to have a tractor with dual serial numbers or none at all if engines and transmissions have been swapped. but it is also possible that someone just stuck a jubilee decal on the hood.

They are almost virtually identical.. there are very minor differences between early and late models..

clutch bushing vs bearing, and a difference on the early hyds option cover .. as we have been talking baout in another thread..
