napa gasket number

Went by Napa to pick up some gaskets for the transmission drain plug on a 2N front mount ford tractor, the ford part number is 8N7011 and fits both the tranny drain and pump drain plugs. My question is does anyone have a napa cross over number that I can tattoo on the counter guys forehead so he can find it easier. He handed me a round gasket that was 8 inches in diameter, I asked if I had to shrink it to fit my plug (which was laying on the counter) The guy never looked at me the entire time, think he was in link_disallowed!If anybody has a number I"d sure appreciate the info

I have nothing but problems at napa. If you want a NASCAR hat or T-shirt they can handle that. My buddy told me this, they are only computer savey and thats what they do to locate parts. He said if they will look in the paper catalogs they have they can find lots of other stuff.

that napa know how can is usually empty!

forget a napa gasket.

got a cerial box? show box?

card stock? manilly folder?

any thin ply non corrougated cardboard will do.. back of a legal pad.. etc.

lay your drain plug on it and dray around the threads and then the outter edge. trim inner with razor knife.. outter with sciscors then fit and clean up. once you have a good fit.

trace that onto another sheet to use as a master.

poof. never buy a bung drain gasket again.

been making mine for years now..

i once bought one from NH for the smaller fill plug / trans dipstick on my 5000 and it was something weird like 10$

Thanks guys anyway, the only reason I pick on Napa is it's close and I have WMD, believe me its the pits on trying to make or do detail work anymore. Got to count my fingers after using a knife on anything!!!

I would certainly not expect to find such gasket at a NAPA store, but they are readily available from CNH.

the guys at the NAPA I deal with seem like they have been there forever and they know their stuff.
I doubt if any of them is under 45 years of age.
