Need 12v wiring help.....

Got a 640 an trying to get the wiring lined out and jus can’t get it. Have a one wire alt, built in resistor coil with a 4 post spring loaded ignition key switch. Is there a step by step pictorial diagram on how to do this? I’m literally starting from scratch and patience is growing thin!

............and what are you doing with a 4 post, spring loaded ign key switch? Trying to eliminate the neutral safety start switch?

This is the switch I’m connecting to the 12v system. What goes where as far as the wiring connections?

The tractor was this way when I got it, the fellow told me it always had to be jumped when started. Battery was always drained, checked voltage and it has never been charging. So I’m trying to get it wired right.

The psh button starter switch has been gone for a long time, he put a bolt and a nut in its place

Has a three post selenoid also, don’t know if it is 6v or 12v or does it make a difference?

For obvious safety of life reasons, too bad the neutral safety start switch is gone. Back of switch shows marks of connections previously on BATtery, IGNition and STart terminals. Doesn't matter if 6 or 12 solenoid, but if you use as planned, solenoid must be of type where POWER to third terminal activates it vs the standard OEM type where Ground to 3rd terminal activates it.
Best of luck.
