need 2 cycle help

Not real familiar with 2 cycle stuff, got a mini earthquake tiller, ran great shut it off won't start, replaced plug has good spark , 75 lbs compression-took off air cleaner and try to start and it seems to spit gas back out of carb- any ideas ???

Probably needs a new carb. I refuse to work on them anymore.Parts cost more than the thing is worth.I junk two to four a month.

Take the muffler off and make sure it's not plugged and the exhaust port is clear....

Some of those little engines will shear the key between the flywheel and crank shaft putting the spark way out of time.

took off muffler not plugged but found cylinder scored--looks like its going to scrap pile !!!Are Stihl tillers any better ???

I think Stihl is the best that you can buy.They do cost but they do last. Had a lady bring me three that had been in her barn for at least three years.Put gas in them two cranked right up ran fine,the other needed a carb cleaning.

I agree. I tell people up front the repair will cost more than the trimmer did new. Some don't listen and insist on fixing their old one. When I hand them the bill which is $50-100 more than they paid for it. I end up owning it!
