Need a hexigon shaft for AC disc

Hi, All.

I need a 84 inch hexigon shaft for my AC disc.

Point to point at 180 degree measure is 1.25

What type of steel are these made out of?

Have found some supply houses that have the rod in stock but only up to 6ft.

I have a very good welder man that can do the welding.

Buy two sticks, weld together into one, dress the weld with a grinder until it disapears.

Hex stock is measured across the flats. If that's 1" you can buy an 8 footer online for around $116 plus shipping. It's probably cold rolled steel.

Probably not, but I wasn't there at the design stage.
