I am looking for an axle for a 1963 Ford 21201.This is a basic Ford 2000 series, all purpose tractor with a Sherman Backhoe and front loader with Sherman over/under/normal tranny.
The axle is fine spline, with heat shrink collar retainer at bearing end.
This tractor was bought used, and the axle is bent, making it impossible to seal the trumpet to the housing.
I did not put the axle in a lathe and use a dial indicator, just loosening the trumpet bolts slightly , and rotating the axle shows a wobble.
When trumpet is tightened all around, it will loosen up in about a day or two.Red locktite no help, that is why I checked for bent axle.
Anyone got an old straight axle lying around?(right side axle).
Thanks in advance for all help on this matter.

I've never heard of a 21201.
Are you talking about a 2000 light industrial or some such?
Ask your question over on the Ford board.
Greater knowledge base there and someone there is more apt to have a tractor/axle that will fit your needs.
nnalert the Ford Board.

21201 is a basic '63-'64 2000 utility with a 4 speed. Probably the most common 2000 prior model out there. Axle from any 601-2000 should fit.

Thanks John.
What does the number signify?
I'm more familiar with the 3 cyl machines.
Is it like the model number stamped into the transmission of one of those?
I posted an unrelated link on the Ford Board about an older 4000 SU.
On that one the model # is D1424C which translates to type of chassis(D), model(!4), engine(2), transmission(4), and type of pto(C)
How exactly does the 21201 decode?
