need blade

hay guys
I need to buy a 3 point blade for grading the road if snow and any thing else I can think of a new king kutter could cost up to $300-$500 dollars wayyyyyyyyyyy out of my price range. What do you think a used one would cost? $100? where might I look for one

You may want to go the local road dept. I think they change blades on their graders, and they may be still useable. You may need to modify them to fit. I had a friedn who worked for the road dept. He had used blades all over his place, he used them for fence stakes. I got a bunch and cut them for scrap iron, when his wife cleaned up his place after he died. Stan

my experience has been that on those type of implements the used ones are at least half if not 3/4s the price of a new one. King Cutter will be the cheapest and lightest duty, ok for small tractor.

Most of them I see sell at auctions etc. got for around $200-300 depending on how good they are and if there the common run of the mill blade or the better heavy duty types. Just watch the local farm auctions and just keep going to them till you find one that fits your back pocket. Thats what I did when I got my manure spreader and it cost me all of $5. And yes it need some work but not very much and I might have $15 in to it now and it does a good job of fling it

If you just wanting a blade for the rear. Be sure and get one that is reversable.... One that you can turn around and blade backwards. I am in MO. and just got one for 150.00. Used but in very good shape...
There are blades that have several ajustments on them. They cost more but nice to have.....Have a good day.

How big of a tractor do you have? How wide of a blade do you want? Where in eastern MO,north, south , middle? I have an old Ford blade, 5 or 6', cat 1 pins, reversible that I'm thinking about selling.
