Need Help 1968 IH 3444

I have a 1968 3444 with fluid shuttle. Can a PTO be installed in this tractor. It appears by the parts books that I have that this is possible. Then I read somewhere that 3444s were mfgered without PTO. Also does anyone know if the shuttle valve on these tractors can be rebuilt as new valves are no longer available.
