need help finding a belt

I have a dearborn 14-49 hay baler and it runs on an engine not a pto. I made a drive belt for it out of an old ratchet strap i sew together. it worked great for a little while but now I'm having issues with it. does anyone know a website that sells 3" wide by 148" long belts? either leather or rubber I don't care I'm just struggling finding something to meet my needs.

U need to find an old thrashing machine belt. Cut it to length and splice it and good to go. Put an add out. Or in the antique department. Maybe an old round baler belt could be cut down to work also.

There are places that still make flat belts for machinery like that.

Found a place called "Belting Industries" online. Also "Flywheel Supply," and "Hudson Belting."

A+, and bonus credit, for creative use of a ratchet strap, by the way! That's one I hadn't even considered.

They make V-belts that are molded in groups of 3 or 4 or whatever you need. They would work on your application.

Coldwell makes flat belts. call them and post back for others who need a flat beli

I would go for the vees for durability.
