Need help identifying old mower

I have an old mower tractor that my son tore apart and put a new engine on it but we can"t find any tags or numbers on it he wants more info. any help would be greatly appreciated. The frame, fenders, seat and steering are original I believe.

You can just leave it as is and he will have a Rat Rod. What ever it is that type of steering set up is really old. Most all of the stuff now is just a stamping,

I'm not even going to attempt a guess, BUT, if he has the hood and/or front grill, pictures of those pieces might help someone else identify it.

As I said it only had frame, fenders, seat, and steering set up was on it when we got it. With a pull start briggs I believe. He is kinda rat rodding it just wanted more info. if he could get it back to original.

Kinda resembles a Springfield. Steering and pedals look similar to a Springfield.

My first thought also was a Springfield but its hard to say for sure.

I'm 99% sure it is/was a Springfield tractor.

If you provide the part numbers cast into the upper & lower steering brackets, I think I can identify the year/model of the tractor.
