Need help with JD 44 plow

Should be real simple, but I am having trouble, geting the clutch side wheel off. Took the three nuts off, removed cap, pin through the axle, adjuster ring, and thought it would slide off. but no dice. What do I do next. Thanks LJ

Push the axle back as far as you can then smack the wheel box with a hammer and it should pop loose. Worked for me many times.

Hope this helps

As said below, but if you can have someone stick a large prybar in behind the wheel, between the wheel and the dish shaped clutch cover, pry out on the wheel, and then hit the end of the axle shaft with a sledge a couple of good hits, it should pop right off. It is a tapered axle and wheel. Bob
