I am on a quest to find a John Deere A engine block. I discovered the block had a large crack (ok hole) in it. If anyone can point me in the direction of a A4320R would be graciously appreciated.

I don't know where you live . I buy 2cyl parts from Tom Ziegler in French Village, Mo. Honest & very good prices. 573-535-8952

Ebay has a couple that Re up there in
price. The late A/60 blocks are prone to
cracking if not installed correctly.
Larry's tractor in Iowa may have one.

Ive relied on eBay for almost all of my parts Ive ordered so far. Id get everything from there or Steiner or even New Paris tractor....... Im currently about to take the head off my 41 A this weekend.

The A4320R is the replacement block for
your tractor and is the factory original
for a 60. Your tractor would have
originally been equipped with an A3703R
block. The two blocks are dimensionally
identical. The 4320 block has two
additional bolt bosses on the underneath
side to run bolts through the frame of a
60. On the late A these holes are not
used as there is no provision for them.
Either block will work. Mike
