Need some assistance identifying this plow , it has John Deere stamp on the plows , and I think is missing a wheel on the front, which I would love to procure. Looking for Model and Manufacture yr.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

As said horse drawn cultivator, I have a couple here. I do believe that there are models that have a front wheel, not sure what the wheel is for. Both of mine use wood for the handles top to bottom.

Thanks, I have seen them with both metal.and wood handles, the wheels keep them.from.over digging , but I'm not sure about what I got , thanks

No idea on the year.
That type of JD cultivator normally came with all steel handles or ones like you have. Your plow is not set up for a wheel. The wheel was an option that bolted to the main frame using a bracket and a separate lever for adjustment. It was mainly used to help turn the plow at the end of a row.

Thanks for the prompt reply, would have never taught that the wheel was and option, learned something new
Thanks

I don't think it's John Deere, even though the cultivators plates themselves (whatever they're called) are marked, but they were routinely swapped and replaced as needed depending on what was locally available, but who knows.... I was able to find another pic on the internet, it said the manufacturer is unknown. However, it does show your model and front wheel setup.

That stamped steel shovel holder would say this is on the newer end of the horse drawn era, not on the older end of horse equipment design?
