Neutral safety switch

Good afternoon i have gas 1965 MF35 deluxe. A wire broke off of the neutral safety switch. Ordered a new one will be here in a couple of days. However. How do the wires go into the new switch? I have never replaced ine before and want to do it right the first time.

Doesn't matter, the switch is either open or closed. It's only one wire with a switch in the circuit, no magic involved. The connectors matter depending on the switch you have, one type is a "bullet" and the other, I "think", is a blade type?

The first ones had male bullet wire ends.

Hi folks, how difficult is it to replace the neutral safety switch? Do I simply make sure everything is in neutral and unscrew it and then screw in the new one?
Any advice is appreciated.

You pretty much got it.
Might have to adjust it in or out after it's installed.
