New ad3.152 engine plug question?

Just got a new ad3.152. In the pictures below there is no plug on either side of this oil galley. On the old engine, pics below, there are. I'm wondering why the manufacturer didn't put these in. The pictures from the reseller site show these holes open, so I could contact the seller, but I would like to know why they would be open. Anybody know?
