new and improved cattle feeder

I would guess he tried to climb over and the ring then flipped over on him.
Or he lifted it enough to go under and in.

Ours are always going for the undisturbed, virgin hay no matter how much loose stuff they have to plow thru.

My brother-in-law came home one after noon to find both his dads hereford bulls stuck in a ring feeder like this one. Both of the bulls heads
were in the same opening in the feeder. The bull on top pushed down and was able to choke the other bull till it died. Hacksawed feeder apart
but not soon enough. Brother-in-law was 14 at the time. Cattle can do some stupid stuff.

Farmer flipped the bale ring feeder up so he could place the new bale there, bull came along and started pushin like they do, flipped down around him, just my guess. gobble
