we could sell/order then thru Case but I never seen one of them painted Case colors or made to Case specs like the blades were, cnt

Mine is "construction yellow". It's the same color as the 440H and my 58 310B. I didn't know if Danuser was a subsidiary of Case back then, or not.

Case never owned any part of them they just contracted them to build the blades,(they still paint the diggers Federal Yellow) they also had them design a digger for the LGT tractors shown here they also made 2pt blades for IH as well and maybe others, in my opinion these were some of the best built blades ever made, in the pivot for the blade they have Timkin tapered roller brgs, the 6' std blade weighs close to 400 lbs too

Cool pic. Mine's just a standard 3 pt hitch. Works a lot better than my other phd...the one with two wooden handles...

LOL yes they beat those hands down!! the basic 3pt ones were the HD F8 and the lighter 20/40, one thing many do not know a F8 gear box does not have 80-90wt in it it will just run out if you put it in they take a liquid grease like what I call "corn picker" grease just thought I would throw that out cnt

Didn't know that. I was wondering where I was gonna get a seal...lol. Is it a special grease, or can I pump a few tubes of regular wheel-bearing grease into it?

special grease, I really hate to admit this ( just kidding) but I buy mine from a friend who works at a JD dealer, comes in a tube for a grease gun he calls it corn picker grease not sure of the number, it is almost liquid, the same stuff was used in the auto lubers on corn heads, balers ect, I can get a number if you like have been told that IH had the same stuff
