New Chevy numbers, HELP!

I finally got the 1957 Chevy COE 7700 to the shop where i could use a light and read the numbers.
On the passenger side engine block, in front of the head seem to be 2 sets of numbers: LOA?15285 then:V1216XTC.
On the drivers side rear engine block: 3959532.
Can anyone tell me what this engine is?
Also the VIN on drivers door post is: 7C57W109785. Thanks for any info.

3959532, 1956-67, 283, 2 bolt main bearings

Dennis, thanks a bunch! I thought it might be the 283. I did know that is what it was supposed to have came out with.
