new development on H etc..

Well, some new developments have occured.

My stepdad was over this weekend while I was dragging the pasture, really liked my C, wanted to buy it.

he used to have a rattly 140 and a mower.. but traded it a lil while back for some repairs on another piece of equipment. I told him it would have been a good keeper had he let me restore it for him. in any case.. it's gone.

he's got my ford 850 TLB over there at his place right now digging some stuff up. his tractor is a JD 2240 , but he just hung an 8' sweeper attachment on it, so the tractor is virtually useless now for anything other than sweepiong his long roads and driveway on his property.

he likes red tractors, and wanted my shiney C to mow with.. I told him it wasn't gonna happen :)

Anyway.. after eharing me talk about the H, he now is interested with the H with the pull mower. I'd do the resto and repair work for him, so it's nice and shiney in his barn.. will feel funny fixing one up and then not seeing it in my barn.. but I guess it's close enough if I wanted to go visit it. ;)

sooooo.. might be going to get the H for him if he likes it. He has no trailer, so I'll be hauling and all..e tc.. waiting to hear back from him.. possibly going to look at it on sunday. Only time the 2 of us can be off work at the same time.

just as well I guess. i really didn't have any money for another tractor.. but is darn nice to window shop.

:) now if a cheap one came up at auction or one as cheap as My c came up.. might have to search the couch cushions.. :)

will keep you guys posted.

Don't know how it compares in size or price, but if you like to window shop then you may want to look.
Craig's List in Greenville, S.C. has, on 1-06-12,
a 1949 A/C model C with Disc listed for $800.00.

They seem to come up for sale a lot, so I would think you'll be able to find one when you are ready without too much trouble.

No. it isn't mine and I live on the other side of the state. However, KEH lives in that area. I just saw it on the Net while looking for trailers.

If you are looking for an H with a reconditioned Woods L306, 72" belly mower, new bearings, belts, & paint. Plus the H is 1941, new paint, good rubber(slightly checked from sun), belt set up. fenders w/extensions.

I live near him...I saw the tractor on there the other day, and thoguht about calling, but my brother said he was going to look at it, so Ill let him havea shot at it first.
