New govenor

Hello everyone. So I recently bought a new govenor and installed it but I am having trouble with it. So I also put new linkages from both throttle and then also the one for the carb. But when the tractor is running I move the throttle just a little and the tractor is way past full revs. Seems like the govenor isnt doing anything

Which gov -9N or 8N? They do make a rebuild kit for the governor if you aren't aware. The balls get flat spots on them and make operating iffy at best. Also, if not aware, do not expect anything new made today by the Ch-Coms to be good to go out of the box, there is no quality control for the most part, so you can plan on doing some tweaking on your own. I have the original Ford rebuild/repair/maint manual if you want a copy in pdf - em is open.

If it is a new governor then you should meticulously follow the instructions in the Ford manual for getting it adjusted.
