New here - please help me find correct level plug!

Hello, I'm new on the forum. I recently got a Ford 3000 (year 1967), which I really like. I would like to change the oil in the rear axle (for hydraulics) - but I'm not sure where the rear axle level plug is. I know where the drain and filler plugs are, from the owner's manual. But the picture in the manual of the level plug (which should be square) isn't like what is on the tractor! Perhaps the original level plug has been changed by a previous owner? I attach a photo. Is it the upper one in the red ring on the photo (a type of bolt with a nut on it) or the lower one, which is a standard nut and not square?

Any help will be much appreciated. Thank you.

It is the upper one. Someone has farmerized
it so it isn't a normal pipe plug. You will
have to experiment to see how to open it.
Do not remove the lower one!
The transmission plug should be about the
same level but forward - by your toe.
