new holland 835

835 or could you possibly mean 853?

One of the last NH chainers, it is a lighter, smaller version of the 855. If it is the electric "bale command" baler, be sure and get the brain box.

Look the chains over, set the air pressure at 40 lbs., make all the adjustments as necessary per the manual and go bale. :>)

My research so far indicates this is a European baler that was not sold new in North America. It is a chain baler, though, similar to an 853. So either you are on a continent other than NA or you've got a grey market baler . . . .

Yes am in uk- can you tell me about the air pressure and what it does - it looks like one side of the roller set up looks lower than other- is this an issue or does it correct itself when baling??

Mike,

Do you have a picture of this rascal?

Hard to comment on a piece of machinery without knowing exactly what you're dealing with on your end.

Hi Mike,

Appears to be a minature version of the 853. Probably makes a 42" bale?

If the chain seems to be "lop-sided", I'd check it for being out of time with itself. It has to run true on both sides of the chamber. Maybe someone started it running without the bladders being aired up?

Many thanks for your help and support and patience i am gonna give it a go and hope alls well - but will check the bladders!

Mike
