New Holland 851

They are on the bottom of the gate if I remember right there Is rod that latches them but its been long time since I sent my 851 away . I know several here still use them

That one has a valve under the hitch on the front of the baler if no latches I gave my book I had away so I cant help much

Really just the cylinders, the valve only works if the cylinders and the tractor hydraulics are working correctly. If the gate won't stay closed almost always the cylinders need repacking.
After hooking the baler up raise and lower the gate fully a few times to purge any air in the lines.

You will have to cycle the end gate before you start baling after tractor has been shutoff or you haven't baled for a length of time. These balers work best if the hay is a little tough rather than too dry. If you are baling short dry hay, you need to throttle back and get some hay in and the core started before revving up the rpms.
