PTO spins freely when tractor is shut off, PTO will not engage clicking noise from solenoid when trying. checked voltage at solenoid, all good. Pu new sensor switch on did not solve problem. No codes on dash

What I was attempting to say is that there are few sites dedicated to new tractors. The PTO question you pose is valid, I searched and TractorByNet, and My Tractor Forum were found. Because I have no idea what transpires at those, I hope they can help. I think your issue will need a NH dealer. Jim

Probably doesn’t matter anyway I can’t really help you, mostly pointing out that on a forum giving complete information about the machine you need help with is essential to a good outcome. I can't believe your dealer walked away from it. They have access to resources you and I don't. Such as district reps. Factory trouble shooting people.
This just goes to show buying a color tractor with a dealer near you isn't always the answer. Rather you need a GOOD dealer near you.

Unfortunately, as we all know there was a time when tractors and their related technology evolved at a rate most shop work forces could keep up with. Those days are gone. This crap built today changes so much, so fast that it takes an Einstein to keep up. Most of the young people working in dealerships today don't care to work to begin with, and the older guys don't have the computer skills to follow the electronics. We see it every day. Problems like this one come up and no one has any idea where it's coming from. Sometimes dealers and their support network are the only choice for help, but all too often even that's not enough.

I was never crazy about computer controlled tractors when that first started, but they were usually restricted to just certain aspects of the tractor. Mostly transmission systems. Now they run everything. Whether the tractor starts, runs, or moves, is all at the mercy of a computer in there somewhere. It's no wonder shops have a hard time keeping qualified help. If I was in the business today, and the bulk of the work was on these "modern" tractors, I doubt I would stick with it very long.
