There is a new holland tr70 at an up comming auction. Was wandering if these new hollands are reliable. Trouble spots, problems, etc any help would be great. also what should i expect to pay just a ball park figure. thanks

Don't know anything about them, but priced them on the internet when I was looking for a machine earlier in the year. Around here that is a $3500 to $5000 machine.

I know the tr 70 is older but we had a tr 85 with a 3208 cat motor. She guzzled fuel to no end but never lacked power. The drawback was parts were 45 miles away if not further on occasion and they loved to use hex shafts for everything. They were built strong enough but parts were expensive compaired to red or green. Ours cleaned the grain the best of any machine I'd run and was gentle on it but it got just too expensive on the repairs.

thanks i think parts shouldnt be a problem where i am, im only about 4 hours away from New Holland pennsylvania with about 3 dealers close. working with a jd 30 now i want to cut time drasticaly and move up a few years haha

A friend has a TR 70 he got a lot of good service out of it he went out of the row crop and sheded it the grandson got it out last year it ran just as good as the day he parked it a little work here and there his has the ford six as an engine good combines alot in salvage now no part problems
