new idea 484 baler

How can you tell if a 484 New Idea round baler is an "earlier" or a "newer" model? It appears it makes a difference when ordering belts.

I'm not an expert but I believe the earlier models used hydraulic twine and the later ones were electric. Are u getting a full set of endless belts and if so what do they cost. I made 1000 bales with mine last year without any major problem. Great little machine.

I am getting 4 out of 5 bottom endless belts, as one new belt came with our machine last year. One site on the net had a $ of 110 per. I am going to check around however. Anyone have a good source for belts? I'll pay a little more to avoid getting a P.O.S.!!!

The real early ones where painted orange/red the later ones where the silver and black. Shoup used to have good baler belts at fair prices but I am not sure they keep them anymore.
