hi where would i find a parts source for bearings and mostly the retainer for the bearings anybody parting one out my local ni dealer not much help thanks for any
help

It is likely they are mostly standard bearings. They may not cross reference, however if you take them in hand to an industrial bearing house, they can likely measure them up and match them. Same if the bearings are mounted with flangettes. Some bearing mounts may be something made by New Idea specifically for a location and those would have to come from AGCO or salvage.

exactly my bearing is completly gone nothing to measure and no numbers to get ill have to drop another roller for that but my main need is the holder as it is new idea specific just looking for parts yards that would ship or even dealer like said my main concern is that cast retainer

Do you use the online catalogs at AGCOparts? You can pick different commerce dealers and see what parts they might stock or what can be ordered. Not knowing what dealer, you are talking with, I can't tell you if your dealer is in the ecommerce list. You might find a better dealer to call.

The bearing can be had from CaseIH dealer agco dealer and I believe I found them at the local deere dealer. Most bearing houses are more expensive that the dealer . I believe it is due to the volume they both handle. As for the cast iron retainer that must have worn pretty bad to need one of them.

yes the retainer is cast and has been run a long time needing repairs i do go on agco parts books and can get numbers didnt know i could find a dealer there that would ship me parts though thanks
