New Idea running gear

I cant find much on this new Idea running gear as gar as the model
I wanna paint it to original colors. Was it dark green with orange wheels?

I repainted a New Idea rake using JD green and Case orange because that's what I had on the shelf. Its real close.

From what i remember of previous discussions here on these series of running gears, as well as what I've come across in vintage advertizing, some were green with orange wheels and hitch pole, some were all orange with green wheels, and some were all orange including wheels. Probably varied year to year based on what New Idea had the other machines in the line looking like.

I just looked through some old literature and it appears that the pre-war and early post-war were orange with green wheels. All orange came next, and then green with orange wheels and hitch were further into the 50s. Can't help as to specific years.

Suggest YT has same offered called ag specialties , or Van cycle paint .
I think it bittersweet orange on my new idea mower ,

According to my New Idea repair parts list dated April 1, 1958 your wagon is a model 628 built in 1941.
