Early JD model A. Were the original decals black? The A looks yellow or white with background green paint for the letter. Another rectangular decal above the A that is too far gone to read. No serial number tag. Cast steel front supports. Steel power lift tag is PL 93500. Side casting number A2644R with 4 on heat number tag. Anyone care to guess production range? Pressed steel wheels A2466R. See photos attached. Hand crank. Round steering column. 6 speed hi/lo.

That tractor would not have had the round "A" decal or the one above it. Those were added at some point. The seat has also been changed.
The correct decals would be like the ones on this A & B. And on the channel iron the seat is attached to, it would say "Model A".

Looks like a wartime tractor

Regardless of the year of your tractor… Hello Jo, welcome to YT! Looks like a nice tractor. Is the engine free or is it a runner? I don’t see much of a shinny ring from the brake on the clutch pulley drum.

Thanks, all.
Engine is stuck. Brakes are rusted and stuck. Carburetor is rusted too. Starting tank has a nest but the big tank is holding gas. That's about the only good news.
Working on brakes while ATF acetone mix sits in cylinders. I have not drained it or opened any covers yet. Radiator cap is AB1621R. I was hoping the power lift tag would help date it.
Do I need a PC675 parts catalog for this tractor?

Thanks!

Here is the online version.
Styled JD A online catalog
FYI, that is the old JD parts site, if you attempt to check out a cart from there it dumps it and takes you to the new version. There you can enter the PNs to check price and availability, the new version so far only covers tractors back to the 80’s or so.
