New NH Round Balers?

Does new holland make anything other then them new light duty rollbelt utility balers? or have all their new round balers been cheapened up? I dont think one of them new light duty balers would survive two years up here in northern wi in this kind of farming country

That new light duty utility baler is a giant improvement over the old light duty BR730,638,634,630 that it replaces.

There are several new models to choose from.

Neighbor just got a new NH baler about six weeks ago. I think it is a CNH 465 premium. He has already had troubles with it. Something in the pickup let go and they had to replace the entire pickup.

I think your starting to see the effects of the European design mindset in CNH lineup. Their crops are different than ours and they usually do not have the rough ground we do for hay fields.

I think all the companies are cheapening the balers up as far as structure. The new JD balers are not quite as heavy built as the JD 568 balers. We have decided against trading our balers in on the new models for now.

I have a CIH 454 silage baler. Third season I love it , and no problems. And I make around 500 wet bales each year , as well as 500 dry , and 2-300 straw. Will make bales up to 5 foot. Have not found any thing "cheap" about this baler yet.

I think in general all NEW equipment has been made cheap and light, and maximum price. This is why I prefer "vintage" equipment, first I am cheap, second, No way I could ever justify the prices of new equipment that would then spend more time in the shop than my old crap.
