Just bought my first John Deere.
It is a 1050 diesel.
Ihave a couple 8 n fords and a massey 30b tlb.
Wanted to say hello and i will be asking questions on the JD.

I really like the Yanmar made series.Good rugged tractors. Dad has a 750. Is yours a 4 wheel drive ?

I think you will like this tractor. I bought a new 1050 and 272 grooming mower in July 1984 and have never had regrets. Mine now has just under 4000 hours and much of that pulling the mower. The only significant repair in 27 years was a transmission clutch replacement two years ago. (The grooming mower demands a lot of clutch operations) Did the job myself. Easy to work on.
If parts remain available the tractor will likely outlast me.

No my 1050 is a 2 wd.
It has an allied loader on it.
That is hooked to the tractor hyd. system.
Wish it had it's own pump.
