New shop Progress

It's been a struggle with the weather but the end is in sight!! Wish it was 4 times bigger though.
Overhead door is going in Tues. The photo is a bit dark but you can see the pad behind the building. An attached garden & machine shed is going there.

Is there a crawl space under the floor or did you fill it in before pouring? If filled did you compact it or let it settle for a while?

The back foundation wall is 8" off the footing. That slope sure ran up the concrete tab!! The side walls & footings are stepped. The fill dirt was placed 12" at a time & compacted. I ran out of dirt so the last 10" is compacted rock. There is a grade beam tied into the side walls under the floor. There are also 1" steel dowels epoxied into the walls so the floor is also hanging on the walls & there is an expansion joint between the walls & floor. The floor averages 5" thick. It"s not going anywhere. The concrete in the floor also has a fiber additive. I"m a commercial/industrial carpenter & I tend to over-build.
