It won't let me upload all the pictures at once, so I'll add more as a reply.

I built some steps for my 1030. I started off with some generic JD 4020 replacement steps I found on Amazon and modified them to fit this tractor. I had to build the bracket to mount them on the tractor, enlarge the top step and build a brace off the bottom/side back to the tractor as well.

I had bought a couple spray cans of Flambeau red paint online, but it was absolutely horrible. It would not spray at all. I managed to get one can open, thinking I could maybe brush it on, but that wouldn't work either as it was way too thin. So, I decided that since they aren't original Case parts they can be gloss black and we will simply decide that black works well as an accent color to flambeau red and desert sunrise.

Looks like it will work very well, the older we get the more careful we need to be. I'm about to put an upright hand hold on my zero turn. More than one person on this site have taken a dive off machines and have had to suffer.

@DRussell you need the step like my 1030 has, I believe it to have had a cab on it at some point in its life, not since grandpa bought it however, it also has extension on the platform in front of the pedals and that stick out a ways to the sides, the steps are a bit narrow but I have a good frame to work with, sorry I dont have any pictures right now, John Saeli confirmed that it somewhere along its life had the cab, fender panels are even in place over the light holes!

I'd like to see a picture sometime.
