New tachometer

Hi!

I want to put a tachometer on my ih624. I have been looking thru the parts list to find out where the angle drive is fitted but it does not show anything.
So where is it mounted on the old McCormick tractors. The engine in mine is a D206.

On the german diesels, the drive is located on the right side of the front timing cover. The 361/407 is on the left front,on the oil pump drive.

The only drawing in the parts list that shows the front and mentioning something about a timing is this drawing. But nothing about an angle drive.

(quoted from post at 13:42:43 02/10/23) Its number 11 on the drawing

In the list it just says Plug at number 11. And on mine there is just a hex bolt.
The drive for it is just 90 degree angle. So that would make the cable bend in a curve. Isnt that supposed to be straight to spin freely?
It is like that on my fordson major.

Yeah I looked closer and the 206 is different than a 239.

It is a right angle on a 239 and screws in the front cover
about where that plug is.
