NEWBIE NAA questions

I own an 8n so I do not know too much about the Jubilees and NAA, that said, my father called me this morning and he is out with grandpa working on his old NAA in Hermleigh TX and asking me questions about it. I am all the way in AZ and am not too much help at this time. It is running but will not go into gear at all, that is even when it is off and sitting. It is stuck in neutral basically. I told him to pull the top cover and look down in there. He call back and said there is little to no fluid and its white/milky. So it obviously needs oil but i didnt know if it was the same as the 8n would take or if its diff. Also is it 1 huge sump for the tranny, rear diff, and the hydro like the old N is?? How much does it take to fill?? and yes I bought an I&T manual for an NAA and its in route to his place in TX. any help will be appriciated.

Thanks, Clelle

"So it obviously needs oil but i didnt know if it was the same as the 8n would take or if its diff." You can use the M2C134D oil for the hydraulic , transmission, and differential in the NAA tractor.

"Also is it 1 huge sump for the tranny, rear diff, and the hydro like the old N is?? " No, there are three seperate sumps.

"How much does it take to fill??" 5Qts = transmission. 8Qts hydraulic. 7.5Qts differential.

**UPDATE**

My father called me back finally after sending him your advise, and good news with the new oil in al 3 compartments the NAA is off and shifting smoothly into and out of all gears. Also the lift stopped shuddering with the correct oil in it as well.... imagine that :D

Thanks again for the help,

Clelle
