NH 1002 Bale Wagon

The rope used to raise/lower the loader is worn out. The original is 7/16 in. cotton 3 strand. I"m having difficulty finding this dia. rope in cotton. I can get 1/2 in easily but it won"t pass through the pulley guards. It"s a big job to cut and re-set these.
NH wants a big price for the replacement rope. It works against an aluminum pulley so I presume cotton is the way to go? I can get 7/16 in nylon but wondering if this would grip the aluminum pulley
sufficiently.

Peter, I have a 1012 which I think uses the same rope. I think if you order one from NH you will find that your 3 strand isn't what was originally on your unit.
They are a little pricy but I went ahead and bit the bullet. Go ahead and go to your farm supply and try to get something near the size and try it. That being said make sure you get good rope or when that chute falls it may bust the large drive pulley in the back and then you'll be able to really spend some bucks.
Good Luck!!!!!!!
